Directors’ Message
Directors’ Message
As the year draws to a close, we are in the process of
reviewing our Strategic Objectives for the next 5 years
and re昀氀ecting on what has been achieved over the
previous few years.
We continually strive to deliver the core purpose of our
charity, which is to “Provide specialist palliative care, free of
charge to adults with a serious and life limiting illness. To
promote the practice of palliative care by example and by
teaching and training.”
As #teamqueenscourt, we are deeply committed to this
purpose and to providing exceptional palliative care for local
people across West Lancashire, Formby and Southport, when
they need us the most.
We actively seek feedback from our patients, their families,
our sta昀昀, our volunteers and other organisations whom we
work with, so that we can shape our services to deliver the
best care possible.
Here is just a snapshot of feedback from this year:
Patients receive holistic care, which includes support
for their families, and patients can move easily between
Queenscourt Services.

The funding climate we 昀椀nd ourselves in is the most
challenging we have ever faced, and in order to
Keep Queenscourt in Service for many years to come,
we need your continuing support.
Your donations, gifts-in-kind, gifts in Wills and your time taken
to volunteer for Queenscourt, all make a massive di昀昀erence to
our charity.
THANK YOU on behalf of #teamqueenscourt, and on behalf
of those who will never be able to thank you themselves.
There is con昀椀dence in our sta昀昀 who have knowledge,
expertise and skill, and who take the time to listen to the
patient and their family.
Queenscourt provides good aftercare and bereavement
support, which includes patients seen in hospital as well
as out in the community. Memory boxes and bereavement
cards mean a lot.
Queenscourt’s positive impact within our wider community
is huge, and you can see from the following illustrations
(with statistics taken from our most recent Annual Report &
Accounts), just how vital our services are.
